I had an excellent long stay here. Super clean, modern rooms and a great friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel. Its a local Brooklyn hotel so don't expect a big parking lot and a pool. Breakfast is good with fresh coffee 24/7.
When Im in town on business I always book here. Special note for Mark who has amazon.com customer service! If you live/come to NYC frequently this is a great location. Close to restaurants and transportation. Mark is always helpful abd accommodating....you cannot go wrong. Im very selective so please believe this a review you can trust.
We used the avid hotel for our hotel wedding block and for the bride & bridesmaids to get ready the morning of the wedding. Rachel was an absolute pleasure to work with through the booking process and was so helpful and kind on the day of check-in. We did shop around for other hotel blocks in Brooklyn to get the best price for our guests and the avid was it! The rooms were very clean and it still feels like a new hotel. Perfect location being across the street from one of the best bagel shops in the area! The regular rooms are quite small but that is expected for NYC hotels, but the accessible rooms were a perfect size!
Amazing experience! Saf and Princess were the best, we checked in at 11pm on March 4th and they brought us energy and kindness when we walked through the door. Sweetest staff for the night shift. And they gave me and my crew some water from our long journey. Clean room and wonderful staff, what can be a better combo??
The hotel is absolute perfection. Both front desks were extremely friendly and helpful. The room is very clean, with a lot of towels, a mini fridge, everything for ironing, and a comfy bed. Breakfast was included and had something for everyone. I will surely come back again.
Well run but basic new hotel. Rooms are simple but clean and double queen rooms are spacious. We loved that you can opt out of having your room cleaned every day and earn points towards future stays at other IHG hotels: (Intercontinental, Kimpton, Six Senses, Crown Plaza, Holiday Inn….) Free basic breakfast, parking garage for 5 cars, gym.
Hot room, cold shower, clean. Breakfast was fine. The attendant was attentive and clean. Turkey sausage, potatoes, and scrambled eggs in chafing pans were adequate. Bagels, bananas, instant oatmeal, Raisin Bran. The desk clerks were friendly. Decor was simple but functional. We could cast to the TV, there was a small mini-fridge, iron and USB ports on the night stand that worked. (No mini USB or outlet on the nightstands) Great counter style desk area with a roller desk chair. The only problem was that the room was extremely hot without the AC on. It was 32 degrees cold outside and the room was 83F when we arrived. Thankfully the window opens a few inches so we could cool it down but temperature was a battle all night. We had to have the A/C on to keep the room below the 70s. Good enough is you are in the area. We came in overnight before boarding QM2 at Red Hook. Basic hotel that’s clean, safe, and affordable.
What a great experience. The two gentlemen at the front desk (Foz and Ahmed, I believe) were so wonderful and very helpful. We showed up a bit frazzled from the traffic but we’re immediately put at ease. The room was clean and nicely appointed with restaurants close by. The breakfast had something for everyone. Had a great stay after we found a place to park.
